George Little

George Little's earliest memories were of looking down on to the then constantly busy docks of Swansea, full of ships with their multi coloured smoke stacks and the dockside bristling with coal hoists, cranes, engines, wagons, sheds, buoys and capstans. His subject matter as apainter is often based on the industrial environment in which he grew up. His work work has reflected the decline and eventual decay of those areas.
Little also works in other industrial areas such as the Welsh Valleys, Cornwall and the North of England where he can find the remnants of their industrial past. From this he constructs his own and very individual interpretations of the colours, shapes and features he observes.
